CT Scanner Installation
A contract carried out
for Stonebridge Construction Limited completed in march 2002.
The installation involved
the conversion and extension of an existing building to facilitate
the installation of a new £500,000.00 CT Scanner.
The installation was
carried out mainly out of hours working, due the fact that the area
involved, had to be kept up and running as a busy X ray Department.
The Mains incomer to
the CT Scanner was carried out utilising 70mm XLPE/SWA LSF cables
run within the existing ceiling void on a containment system of
galvanised steel cable trunking.

With final connection
via a contactor controlled 160Amp main switch, with an emergency
stop circuit connected to the contactor.
The lighting installation
was carried out utilising recessed HF 600 x 600 cat 2 luminaires,
and recessed HF downlights.
A system of analogue
addressable emergency luminaires has been installed to facilitate
the testing of the emergency luminaires via a computer.
The existing fire alarm
installation was extended to the new CT scanner suite.
A stand alone nurse call
system has been installed wired in a containment system of galvanised
steel, trunkings and conduits.

Stalybridge Civic
Hall
A recent £100,000.00
electrical installation completed in 2001.
The installation consisted
of the existing Victorian market hall being converted into a new
civic hall, complete with offices, conference suits and meeting
rooms.
Many of the existing
features of the building had to worked around due to the fact that
it was a listed building by the English Heritage.

The whole of the installation
has been carried out utilising a system of 6242Y twin and earth
type cables installed on a containment system of galvanised steel
cable trunkings installed with the ceiling voids.
The whole of the lighting
installation was hi-spec and consisted of HF recessed brass PL downlights
and HF recessed Cat 2 luminaires to all office areas, and cold cathode
lighting within the conference room.
Suspended brass maintained
exit luminaires were installed to all meeting and conference rooms.

A new analogue addressable
fire alarm system was installed complete with repeater panels to
the whole of the building.
Other works included
small power installation, intruder alarm installation, lightning
protection, external security lighting, mains distribution and metering,
emergency lighting.
The main contractor was
Dew Pitchmastic Limited and the Client was Tameside Metropolitan
Borough Council.

Ltd.
A new build industrial manufacturing
unit built by West Construction Limited and completed in 2001 with a electrical
contract value of approx £70,000.00.
The installation consisted
of new Mains & sub mains distribution, warehouse lighting and power, office
lighting and power, fire alarms, emergency lighting, external lighting,
electric heating and machine wiring.
The whole of the works was
carried out utilising 6491X single core copper cored singles cables installed
within a containment system of galvanised steel trunkings and conduits.
